Who we are
Wild Spruce Equine Modalities was founded by Brie Doyle a Certified Equine Bodywork Practitioner with a passion for supporting the physical, emotional, and energetic well-being of horses. She completed the 500-hour Certified Practitioner Program at the School of Applied Integrative Therapy under the mentorship of Kim Kizzier Sherrodd. This program stood out to Brie because it blended the art and science of various bodywork modalities, including myofascial release, traditional massage, acupressure, energy work, and exposure to innovative technologies.
Initially, Brie’s journey into bodywork was driven by a desire to help her own horses, particularly her mare, Sunny, who had faced chronic physical issues. However, as Brie experienced the transformative effects of bodywork on Sunny and her other horses, she realized the profound impact this work could have—not just for the horses, but for herself as well. She witnessed firsthand how bodywork alleviated physical discomfort, regulated emotions, and improved the confidence of her horses. This personal transformation inspired Brie to continue offering her services, with a special focus on Mustangs, rescue horses, and senior horses, who often carry past trauma and require gentle, supportive care to feel more confident both physically and emotionally.
Brie’s approach to equine bodywork is grounded in patience, curiosity, and a deep passion for listening to the horse. She believes that each horse is unique and takes the time to truly understand their needs. This allows her to offer a compassionate and thoughtful approach that respects each horse’s individual journey, helping them feel heard and supported.
Brie’s herd consists of her 17-year-old Paint horse, Sunny, and her two Mustangs, Spruce and Stella. Under the guidance of Jessica Dabkowski, Brie is gentling Spruce, a 6-year-old mare from the Spruce Pequop herd, and Stella, a filly from the Jicarilla herd. Working with these horses has deepened Brie’s understanding of the importance of building trust and connection, especially when working with horses who have experienced hardship or trauma.
Brie’s passion for equine bodywork, combined with her unique experiences with Mustangs and senior horses, allows her to provide a specialized approach that helps horses feel more balanced, calm, and confident, all while strengthening the bond they share with their human companions.
When Brie isn’t providing bodywork or spending time with her horses, she is coaching and inspiring women to live a life full of purpose. You can also find her exploring the beauty of Colorado with her three dogs.
